The Deanship Council for the Deanship of Graduate Studies considers all matters relating to postgraduate studies at the university. It is responsible to take necessary decisions within his jurisdiction, as required under Article V of the consolidated list of graduate studies in Saudi universities. The Council consists of the Dean, consultants of Graduate Studies, Dean of Scientific Research as well as representatives of the colleges that offer Graduate programs. The Board meets on the invitation of its chairman once a month at least.

It is not right the meeting only two-thirds of its members and decisions shall be a majority of the votes of members present and in case of equal votes, the side that the President, is the Council's resolutions in force unless the objection from the Director of the University within fifteen days from the date of arrival him. The Council of the Deanship formation of permanent and temporary committees from among its members or others to study what it cost them.

 

• Proposing the general policy for graduate studies or modified, and coordination of all university faculties and institutes and follow-up implementation after approval.

• Propose internal regulations in coordination with the Departments Regarding the organization of Graduate Studies.

• The foundations of the proposal for admission to graduate studies, implementation and supervision.

• The recommendation of the leave programs developed after the study and coordination between existing programs.

• Recommend approval of the graduate courses and changes thereof or programs to modify or alter

• Recommendation titles graduate degrees in both Arabic and English councils on the recommendation of the colleges.

• The recommendation to grant degrees.

• Decide on all matters relating to graduate students at the university.

• Approve the formation of the oversight committees and discuss of the Theses.

• The overall framework for the research plan and the rules governing how to write a monograph, print, and out and submit forms and reports of the debate and judge the messages.

• Put in order graduate programs at the university on a regular basis to committees or specialized bodies from inside or from outside the university.

• Study of periodic reports by the scientific departments at the university.

• Consider referred by the University Council or the President or Director of the University to study and opinion.
