The phenomenal growth of financial markets in the Kingdom, and the interdependence of economies and global financial markets stressed the need for a specialized department in Financial Sciences. As King Saud University has always been maintaining its lead to keep pace with scientific and academic developments locally and globally, it has established the Finance Department in the year 1427 / 1428, noting that the Finance discipline was available as a course in the Department of Business Administration since year 1413.
The Department seeks to develop a knowledge base for students in the field of Financial Sciences, and to provide them with scientific and theoretical skills and thus contribute to the preparation of highly qualified national cadres in the various financial disciplines to work in local and global financial markets.
