PR Sought by Mass Commutation Students... Why?

Students of mass communication turn out to join major of public relations, preferring it to journalism. It is not because journalism is that difficult, but because finding a job in PR is easier and well-demanded in labor market, Resalah writes a feature.
Student Hamad said, "PR major is important now as one of modern communication media and hones up one's skill to communicate with others."
Student Faisal said, "I like PR for I like to be in touch with all society brackets and to be well-demanded in the labor market.
Saying why he has selected PR other than other majors in mass communication, student Sultan Al-Atawy said, "I am well aware of PR stressed in the Glorious Quran, Bee Chapter: "Invite (mankind, O Muhammad) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better…" The fair preaching is a content of one's talk and wisdom is the communication means. Also, PR is harnessed in helping people as stressed by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, who said, "The best of people is he who helps people."
Probing opinions of faculty members, Dr. Bakr Ibrahim, a faculty member, said, "I think many students like to join PR for they listen to other alumni who go here and there with foreign delegations, attending press conferences, etc. however, they do not know that the civil service ministry had sent us a cable when I was a chair of mass communication department not to admit more students in this major for having plenty of them with limited chances to join public sector.
Dr. Ali al-Enazy, a faculty member, said, "PR is distinguished in plenty of job opportunity and people working in this field are people to reckoned with."
