Saudi-French Inter-Civilization Dialogue Opens
The King Saud University KSU is holding a symposium on inter-civilization dialog in response to a call by H.M. King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in Makkah, Madrid and New York last year. The symposium is scheduled to be on March 7, 2009.
The symposium – Saudi-French Symposium for Inter-Civilization Dialogue- cements understanding and tolerance and peace amongst all nations. A pool of French and Saudi academicians will participate in the symposium.
The symposium includes five sessions: Peace and Human Dignity Future, The Traditional Image of the Arab and Western Cultures, Culture and Civilization Dialogue, Education Role in Activating Inter-Civilization Dialogue, and Respecting Cultural Diversity.
The symposium is held by the KSU, College of Law at the L’Université Paris Descartes, the Observatory for Geopolitical Studies in Paris (Observatoire d’études géopolitiques), Saudi Arabia embassy to France, and Saudi Cultural attaché.
