The Arab Journal of Media and Communication was accredited an academic journal by Council of King Saud University. The faculties could publish their papers to have a would-be academic promotion, said Dr. Fahd Al-Tayyash, board chairman of the Saudi Association for Media and Communication (SAMC).

The new accreditation functions a momentum to the journal and draws many studies conducted on and off campus. This will drive the journal up to discuss various communication issues.  

SAMC published three issues in the past that were rich in specialized studies and researches conducted by a galaxy of Arab and Saudi researchers.
