Student Board for Special Needs

It seems that the obstacles facing the students with special needs will be ironed out soon thanks to the state-of-the-art technologies and the community awareness towards the role they play in beefing up the march of development at various levels. The special education department is developing and is offering a number of solutions for us, says student Musa Al-Khathairy, in an interview.

On the solutions offered, Musa said that a student board for students with special needs was set up. “I call upon the board to provide us with computers during the exams to solve the problem of reading.” He hoped to provide Braille printer for them to shift the books into Braille-styled printed books to be easy for them to read. He proposed to make a copy of Resalah newspaper on Braille.

Naser Al-Qahatany, a sophomore, lauded the step of setting up a student board for those with special needs. He proposed to hold an open day for those with special needs to recognize one another and elect a chairman of the board.

Student Abdul-Jalil Al-Shaghab said he proposed a number of suggestions, foremost of which is commemorating the days of those with special needs: the day of those with hearing problems.
