Prince Sultan Water Research Chair Initiated

The Prince Sultan Research Chair for Environment, Water, and Desert is initiated by H.E. Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman, President of King Saud University (KSU) next Sunday, says Dr. Abdul-Malik Al-Alshiekh, the chair director-general. “H.R.H. Prince Khalid bin Sultan, assistant Minister of Defense, Aviation, and Inspector general, will grace the initiation ceremony after seeing the brilliant success garnered by Prince Sultan Water Award,” added he. “The award motivated us to introduce this chair, focusing on tanking rainwater and heavy water in reservoirs. It targets luring a number of scientists to discuss problems of water in Saudi Arabia and finding proper solutions for them,” noted he.

“The chair plays a major role in imparting the knowledge and expertise of major countries to homeland; rationalize water demand; benefit from the rainwater maximally. It enhances the Prince Sultan Center for Environment, Water, Desert Researches, “Al-Alshiekh said.
