Announcer and Magic

            Saleh is a TV announcer, presenting 99 TV show, aired on Saudi Sport Channel. The show name is borrowed from services rendered by Saudi Ministry of the Interior that start with 992, 993 etc 999. The show discusses social and security issues.

            Graduated from King Saud University (KSU), Saleh had received on-the job training at Mass Communication department, College of Arts. He presented TV programs while undergraduate.

            Touching sensitive issues, like magic, forbidden in Saudi Arabia, Saleh was threatened to be murdered due to attacking magic channels on live. One of magic channels threatened to make him insinuated by devils. Soon, things turned to be a public issue and the Arab Information Ministers convened in Egypt and discussed stopping airing magic channels on Nile Sat and Arab Sat.

            “The idea of discussing magic on my TV shows was a letter by H.R.H. Prince Naif, Minister of the Interior, in which he gave directives to find a way to stop magic channels that do not cope with the preservative Arab traditions,” said Saleh.
