I Get Ready with Hard Study: Mobility-Impaired Student
Students with disabilities, sometimes, face problems. Caring with them, Resalah newspaper made interview with Mohammed Al-Qahtany, a mobility-impaired student.
Resalah: How do you get ready for exams?
Qahtany: By believing in Allah Almighty and depending on Him, Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be with him, had said on the authority of `Umar bin Al-Khattab, Allah be pleased with him, who said, "I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying: 'If you all depend on Allah with due reliance, He would certainly give you provision as He gives it to birds who go forth hungry in the morning and return with full belly at dusk". So, I depend on Allah and get ready with hard study, revising what professors said, and re-reading what I have written down in lecture."
Resalah: How do write down the answer?
Qahtany: Herein lies the problem; I need to have somebody to write on behalf of me. He, usually, disturbs other students while in exam halls.
Resalah: Choose somebody to send a short message?
Qahtany: I remind every student of a verse from the Holy Quran: "You shall observe GOD, and GOD will teach you. GOD is Omniscient." Cow Chapter.
Discussing the same point, Resalah made another interview with Nael Al-Harby, a visual-impaired student.
Resalah: How do you get ready for the final exams?
Al-Harby: I get the course recorded in audio; fix the most important points, and write them down on Braille.
Resalah: Did you ever face a comic situation?
Al-Harby: I searched for somebody to write on my behalf. I thought he is the one I am looking for. Then, I found out that he could not write down my name in the right way.
Resalah: What are the problems you face up?
Difficulty of studying and of searching for a book.
