Saudi Students Go Bankrupt in UK!
Saudi students on scholarship receive 850 pounds per month in the UK, whereas UAE students receive 3000; Kuwaiti 1850; and Libyans 1100 pounds, said Abdullah Al-Bahily, a student living in Britain for a scholarship.
Complaining about the insufficient allowance, Al-Bahily said, "We went to the Saudi attaché who wondered, claiming that the allowance is the best amongst the Arab students in Britain. I could do nothing so I left home."
Shedding light on backwardness of the Saudi procedure process, Al-Bahily said," Despite that we are in the UK, the attaché still uses paperwork. We hope it applies e-transactions soon to spare us efforts and troubles of coming to the attach to finalize necessary procedures."
Mohammed Al-Awhaly said, "I have three kids and hardly fulfill their needs. If my wife joins a university, rules in force state that I have to get a baby-sitter for each. The baby-sitter receives fees over than the allowance I receive."
