An advanced English Language course that is student-based in nature & intended to equip students with skills & processes to think, interact & do graduate work in English in an accurate manner. As learners of English as a foreign language, students tend to approach course materials with anxiety. Through intensive practice, engaging assignments & a warm, inspiring learning environment, students begin to enjoy the language and gain confidence in using it for communication in different environments.
This course is divided into five subjects: Reading, Writing, Grammar, Listening, and speaking.

Writing:
First Steps in Academic Writing. By Anna Hogue
Listening & Speaking
1. Strategies in Listening: Tasks for Listening Development. By Michael Rost & Munetsugu. Third Edition.
2. Contemporary Topics 3: Advanced Listening and Note-Taking Skills. By David Beglar & Neil Murray & Michael Rost. Second Edition.
Evaluation:
Two interms and a final exam for each skill: grammar, reading,writing and listening. A total of 50% for interms and a total of 50% for all finals
