Vision / Mission / Goals

Vision:Women's Campuses of King Saud University seek to become an autonomous institution of higher education
which is competitive regionally and is benchmarked to international standards. It is the intent to increase the
placement of its women in leadership and service positions in the public and private sector.
Mission: The Women's Campuses of King Saud are/is a comprehensive public institution of higher education which
is committed to providing a quality education for women leaders in the Kingdom within an Islamic context.
Strategic Goals:
1. The Women's Campuses of King Saud University are committed to providing leadership capable of sustaining an autonomous institution.
2. The Women's Campuses of King Saud University are committed to carrying out internal transparent quality assurance programs including but not limited to international benchmarking and meeting accreditation standards either domestic or international.
3. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to assuring the highest level of learning and teaching through the appointment and retention of highly qualified staff; keeping the curriculum current and assuring that the Kingdom receives graduates who are well prepared for leadership and productive careers. In addition, the women's campuses are committed to exploring the incorporation of new forms of learning, such as by distance, which could enable new student populations such as older learners.
4. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to providing services in keeping with Islamic values; and in admitting diverse and well prepared students from both inside and outside of Saudi Arabia who will be served well by administrative support services which augment the academic core.
5. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to providing learning resources in the forms of libraries, science and IT laboratories and other services which are adequate, appropriate and which are state of the art.
6. To make the women's campuses more attractive and conducive to learning by improving the physical facilities by moving into new quarters (with improved classrooms) within a three year period and improving equipment related to laboratories, educational technology, etc. Until that time, improve the maintenance of and technical support services for current facilities.
7. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to improving transparency related to future University and external resources for planning purposes and building internal capacity for autonomous financial management.
8. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to the improvement of the teaching and learning enterprise by recruiting and retaining the best qualified faculty and staff with attention to terminal degrees and improved teaching methods for faculty members; evaluating a reasonable teaching load and enhancing a transparent professional development and award system for all accountable faculty and staff.
9. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to improving the incorporation of research into the academic purposes of the institution:
Objectives:
§ Activate research centers for coordination and advocacy purposes,
§ Increase research collaboration internationally,
§ Encourage and rewarding faculty for research,
§ Become the national focal point or center for research with emphasis on solving practical problems in the wider community.
10. The women's campuses of King Saud University are committed to serving the public by providing helpful information about the university and its programs which serve the community, and continue providing special services to local and national communities.
